I focus on teachers because they are the single most important factor in a child’s schooling experience and because they deserve the support.

New teachers, specifically, are more often placed in hard to staff positions at schools that have a majority of students that have been marginalized and underserved by society. This is one of the many ways racism manifests in our education system.

The results of these inequitable systems are obvious and painful. The opportunity gap for children is widening and teachers are leaving the profession in droves. We must do better. Our children and teachers deserve it. 👊🏼👊🏼👊🏼
