🦓 Key thing to know about me: I was born to show black and white people can live, love, and build a common future, together. The Zebra is my spirit animal!

💒 My black mother and white father married in 1963. I arrived 9 months following New Years Eve that year. The odds of being alive we’re extremely long and I hit the jackpot! I have lived every day at the intersection of black and white America. I’ve seen a lot. A lot.

Things I’ve done so far include:

🏛Created messaging for successful Constitutional amendment campaigns to reduce class size, secure conservation lands, and funding for environmental preservation.

👩‍⚖️Promoted justice for human trafficking survivors.

🚬💵Secured billions from cigarette makers for health care funding in Florida.

📚✏️Won increased funding for education and school construction.
