April Patrice Bentley known professionally as Bentley, is an anointed American
hip-hop gospel music psalmist-songwriter. Bentley, best known for her amazing gift of
storytelling through song is an independent unsigned artist on the rise. Bentley is a passionate
community minister, author and mentor who is a lover of the Lord and committed to her call to
inspirer those bound in sin to try and trust God for deliverance. Bentley’s stance is adamant
against sexual abuse and sex trafficking,
Bentley, who didn’t grow up in the church, began singing as a little girl, and would stager at the
sight of bringing tears to the eyes of those who sat under her voice. For 19 years her voice
would be silent due to being trafficked at the age of 14. BUT GOD! What was meant to
annihlate her destiny would be the very thing that would build her ministry and ultimately
catapult her into her full purpose.
Bentley has sung backup for various artist like Stellar Award-nominated Bishop Darrell Hines,
Chris Bolton, and most recently Tasha Page-Lockhart. She is the Founder of Rubies, a non-
profit organization that focuses on identification; awareness and prevention of child sex
trafficking and is an advocate for the youth. Bentley has two children that she loves with all of
her heart. Though she has never given birth, her children are a mirrored image of the love she
has for Christ.
In 2020 Bentley decided to step out on faith and spread her message of hope and deliverance
through her debut single “I’m Free”which also accompanies her book “Don’t Rush to Get Old “ Though Bentley has additional songs, she believes “I’m Free” is
the now message needed for the world.
