Bio
Roxana Chapela was born and raised in Mexico City. 🇲🇽 She is an Architect with a certificate in Fine Arts and a Permaculture Design diploma. She has walked the last 2 decades of her professional journey 🎥 FILM and theater, by DESIGNING SETS for different kinds of genres. Which led her to move to Vancouver, Canada 🇨🇦 13 years ago.
Chapela has also DIRECTED some AWARD WINNING short documentaries like “Upcyclers: Fashion’s Climate Frontliners” and “The Peaceful Revolution” for OUTOFDBOXPRODUCTIONS. Currently, she is writing the script of her first feature film.
Finally but not least, her passion for social change and sustainability has been reflected as well in the circular fashion brand: MAGDALA UPCYCLING, as Co-founder and Artistic Director.
