Marcos Rosa, LMFT, is a Marriage and Family Therapy Doctoral Student at Antioch University of New England. Marcos was born and raised in southeast Brazil and immigrated to the US on his early twenties. He is currently living in the city of Bridgeport, CT, where he serves a large community of immigrants both in clinical and religious settings. Marcos enjoys traveling, good food, spending time with family, friends, and learning about new cultures and places. He is passionate about serving people, especially the underserved and disenfranchised groups. Marcos is trained in TF-CBT and an AAMFT Approved Supervisor. He is also the founder of Redeem Wellness. In his practice, he works with multicultural clients, delivering treatment in 3 languages: English, Portuguese and Spanish, working mainly with traumatized children and their families. He also trains and supervise new clinicians in his practice. He wants to promote advocacy and access to mental health for Brazilians and other immigrants/refugees, as well as provide supervision and training for culturally diverse competent clinicians to work with immigrant populations. Inspire and recruit new prospect MFT's among immigrant and clergy communities, collaborate in researches that advance the systemic treatment of trauma and preventions of mental health illness among second and third generations of immigrants in America, are some of his interests. He has a passion for working with clergies and their families and is currently researching and developing new clinical approaches to work with this specific population.
