Robert started off as a trainee product designer for WT Henley, where he quickly gained a vast knowledge of product design, development and R&D. After designing and parenting many products at Henley’s, he moved on to contract design work for a number business.
In 2005 Robert and his now business partner performed a management buy out of a failing business, and quickly set about turning its fortunes around. In 2013 they rebranded the business into Nationwide Ventilation. Ltd which is known one of the leading companies in the field of commercial kitchen ventilation. They have a number of very high profile high street brands as customers. From KFC and Tacobell to Nando’s and even the Queen herself! Nationwide Ventilation has worked with nearly all of the leading restaurants and pub groups in the industry. Not to mention an impressive list of celebrity chefs like Gordon Ramsey and Heston Blumenthal.
Robert has gone on to launch a number of successful businesses, with a group turnover into multiple millions. And has a vast wealth of experience from launching products to sales and marketing. He also runs his own high profile mentoring and coaching practice which has a six month plus waiting list for clients to join. Robert has been a mentor for many people, and mentored with organisations like the Young Entrepreneurs Society.
In an extended effort to pass on his knowledge in business he launched his own podcast in September 2018, called “The Humble Entrepreneur” which covers many areas of business and life. The podcast currently has audiences in 18 different countries around the world and is growing. It can be found on all major platforms like iTunes and Stitcher.
Outside of business Robert’s passion is boxing. He is a fully qualified Amateur Boxing Association coach. He coaches three nights a week at the local amateur boxing gym, that has a range of people attending from 9 years old and upwards.
