Bio

My name is Ashley N. Gaston. I am an alumni of Southern University Agriculture and Mechanical College in Baton Rouge, La. During my attendance at Southern University, I obtained my undergraduate degree in psychology and Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.

Currently I am a License Professional Counselor in the state of Louisiana. I have over six years of experience in the field of mental health. I specialize in individuals who suffer from behavior, social, mental, and emotional barriers. My educational and clinical experience has equipped me with years of training analyzing behavior and mental disorders along with social and emotional adjustment. I utilize an integrative approach to counseling, tailoring treatment and therapeutic modalities to each clients specific needs.

Through my experience as a counselor I have gained competencies in mental processes and disorders and various therapeutic techniques such as behavior modification techniques, positive self-talk, coping skills, mindfulness, anger-management skills, and much more.

I have a strong passion to educate and sow into the life's of others. I am a dedicated professional with a wholehearted commitment to improving the social, emotional, and overall quality of life of each client. I am a very accommodating and versatile individual who possesses the natural gift to counsel, encourage, enrich, and inspire those who have mental health challenges and mental health illnesses.
