Passion Project:
Aya of Africa, Inc. 🇬🇭👶🏾 - Addressing the health and nutritional needs of malnourished children in Ghana, West Africa.
🌱Hemp is a complete nutritional source and the planet’s BEST organic source of vegetable protein.
🌱Both hemp seeds and oil can combat the most severe type of malnutrition.
👨🏾🌾 90% of families in the northern region rely on agricultural livelihood. Limited 🥔 food production has resulted in chronic poverty, food insecurity and malnutrition.
🌱Every single part of the hemp plant can be used by farmers for food, fuel, clothing and building material.
🌧 Agriculture is mostly rain-fed in the country of 🇬🇭 Ghana. The northern region experiences significantly erratic rainfall with long dry periods due to climate change.
🌱 Fighting Malnutrition should be a top priority for policy makers and philanthropists. Efforts need to be scaled.
🥜 Malnutrition is too often regarded solely as a health issue which disregards its implications of social and 📈 economic development.
🥜 Malnutrition leads to a significant loss in human and economic potential.
🥜 Undernourished children are at-risk of losing 10% of their lifetime earning potential.
