Remi Rough continues to challenge the boundaries of contemporary painting as he traverses between the collected history of art and todayβs urban lexicon. Thematically he continues to explore associations between Suprematist concepts, Abstract Expressionism and Graffiti art. Which in practice and theory they become ever present. This amalgamation yields a new type of modernist painting, one that reflects his passion for the aforementioned but also his desire to re-imagine it all for todays world.

Recent projects include a brand collaboration with Haig Club and David Beckham, a major solo exhibition with Kronos Gallery in Trento, Italy and a mural commission for The Cuban Embassy in London.

As one half of @TheDeadCanRap alongside Mike Ladd we recently released a self titled album that received a four star review from Mojo Magazine and another glowing review from the prestigious The Wire Magazine. π
