My love for thrifting started way before reselling or knowing all the right brands. From a young age, I have fond memories of my grandmother taking us to the Salvation Army or our local thrift stores. I was so mesmerized by all the stuff (I was a bit of a hoarder as a child), so you can imagine my excitement.

This love grew well into my teen and young adult life when I discovered Plato’s Closet. I was finally able to afford all the latest trends without the high cost. I distinctly remember asking my mom to go so I could buy the latest Hollister t-shirts because it’s what all the kids were wearing. (Who remembers that trend 😂) I even convinced my older sister to get a job there where she would later become the store manager and hire me. It was my first job and one that I still hold dear to my heart. Man do I miss my closet from that time of my life.
