Rebecca Hui is a designer and social entrepreneur who has spent nearly a decade bridging indigenous and minority creatives to the global stage. She started Roots Studio, which works with thousands of indigenous artists globally and their partnerships have 3X artists' income through collaborations featuring matrilineal tattoo artists in Bihar to scroll paintings in Chhattisgarh. Roots Studio has been featured in TeenVogue, PBS, MIT Technology Review, WGSN, Marie Claire, The Tatler, Harper’s Bazaar, TechCrunch, Stanford Social Innovation Review, amongst others.
Rebecca is a Forbes 30 Under 30, Cartier Women's Initiative Laureate, Chanel Foundation recipient, and Echoing Green Fellow. She has worked with numerous governments on cultural sustainability in India, Jordan, Africa, Malaysia, and China through MIT, UNESCO, and the World Bank. She began her journey as a Fulbright Scholar and National Geographic Explorer, documenting human-animal coexistence from rural to urban societies.
