Music is a powerful thing. It can rule the human spirit in a beautiful way. People fall into the categories of loving music as a listener or creating it as an artist. Well music attached itself to Krete, by way of an artist.
Growing up in Dekalb Texas, Krete began singing at the age of two at her church and at eight years old she wrote her first song. It was during this period that her mother found a notebook with what appeared to be love letters but was actually more songs that Krete had written. With her passion being discovered, her mother began supporting her in the direction of a possible career.

Although Krete found singing to be something that she loved, it was not long before she realized that Hip Hop music touched her soul in a similar way and as talented artists will sometimes do, she embraced both genres of music. She began doing both R&B along with Hip Hop and recorded her first song in Dallas Texas with the label BMG Kids at the age of twelve. As she continued to take her music career seriously, more people began to hear of her over the next three years, constantly inquiring about her music.

Krete was approached by the group Dub City Allstars and recorded three compilation albums with them that fared well among fans. It was then time to pursue a solo career that had been tugging at her for a while. The first was released in 2006, entitled Southern Belle. The reviews of the album was an obvious independent success. Over the next several years Krete continued to feed her following with several mixtapes and in 2017 she dropped a much anticipated EP called, You Like.

Krete loves the open stage for live performances and over the years she honed her skills by opening for the likes of Lil Webbie, T Pain, Bun B, 8Ball and MJG, Lil Boosie, and Luchie. In her relentless approach to reach a broader audience and show that she is continuing to shine as an artist, she has remained in the studio recording her new album called ConKrete Rose, to be released in 2022. Krete is destined to prove that there is room for her at the top
