In my experience, music has the capacity to help to re-weave the fabric of connection between all things that has been tattered and frayed by modern society with its insatiable desire for “more.” I’m here for it.
Showing solidarity through boots-on-the-ground activism in urban areas does the same thing.
And facing ones shadow that inevitably arises in relationship with the beloved, and using it as a vehicle for transmutation, does this on a micro-level.
All of these things give me “purpose.”
