Ramesh Manickam an alumnus of IIT Delhi with specialization in Industrial Design is the Key Expert leading the Experience Design team at Siemens R&D, Bangalore.

In his experiences spanning over 22 years, he started his career at Royal Enfield and was instrumental in setting up the Design studio and designing the Legendary Thunderbird Motorcycle in 2001.

Ventured as a first-generation entrepreneur and started, Centroid design - a strategic design consultancy in 2005, with a passion to do good design and vision to make a mark in the Design field. Designed over 450 digital and physical products across industries, ranging from Tractors to pens in the automotive, heavy & light engineering, consumer durables, electronics and FMCG segments. In 2018 launched the startup: COZART Home decor brand, which is taken over by CraftBeton from Dalmia group. His works has received numerous credentials like Good Design Award, CII Design Excellence award and his works published in IF Design. He has been a jury member at Good Design - India Design Mark Award, from 2015 till date.

Ramesh was the National finalist and represented India in the ‘International Young Design Entrepreneur of the year’ 2006 in London, award conducted by British Council to nurture design entrepreneurship. He is a TED fellow and was part of the TED India event held at Mysore in 2009.

He is a visiting faculty at IIT Chennai and NID Ahmedabad. Passionate in working with schools to adopt design thinking as a curriculum. A motivational speaker on Design and entrepreneurship.
