A womanist in ministry, I am de- racializing and consequently, skinning theology. Erasing color lines one keystroke at a time, I regularly write, speak and teach on the sociopolitical construct of race and the intersections of faith, gender and politics in hopes of living in a transforming Christian community that embodies Galatians 3.27-28:
“As many of you as were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is no longer Jew or Greek, there is no longer slave or free, there is no longer male and female, for all of you are one in Christ Jesus.”
Because faith in Jesus is not skin deep.
