Long Story Short
My passion for hair started at the age of 12 with braiding and expanded from there. After graduating high school I allowed people to talk me out of my passion to pursue careers for things I had no interest in. Iβve attended college 8 different times for 5 different majors. I accumulated over $50,000 worth of debt in only 3 years of trying to find a career when I knew my passion all along. I was gifted a salon suite at the age of 20 while carrying my 1st child but didnβt have the knowledge or guidance of how to run my business so it was a very short-lived dream. Each time I tried to go back into cosmetology school the doors were closed in my face because of my outstanding debt. I gave up on my dreams and began to work in warehousing π while doing hair on the side. Fast forward to age 27, 3 kids later, Iβm making $18 but my job is draining me. I wanted to give up on life because I felt so stuck in my environment and all the down talk, discouraging words was really starting to get to me. I took a huge leap of faith, quit my job and moved to Texas and restarted my journey in hair at PMTSSA! 6 months of being there opened my eyes to a new world π. All hope inspiration and motivation came rushing back. After performing in my 1st hair show the devil took another attack on the life of me and my family and sent us back to Alabama into that depressing environment I came from. I did not let that stop me. I signed back up for school and drove 1 1/2 hours a day to get what I wanted. Finally after having to restart cosmetology school from the beginning for the 4th time, I graduated from Paul Mitchell the School Birmingham and purchased an RV for a MOBILE SALON π
