A rough childhood mixed with physical, mental, emotional and sexual abuse that left me broken and scarred for the most part of my young life. Rejected by my father, abandoned by my mother, the black-sheep of my family, damaged goods, unloveable- these explosive ingredients had me in a hostage situation with my identity and I often contemplated suicide and believed the world would simply be a better place without me.
In my darkest hour at the age of 15 I encountered the reckless love of Jesus and I’ve never been the same since! I was saved, healed, delivered and my future was changed all with one decision.
My wife and I proudly serve in the same church still today that showed us this love and our kids (8 & 2) joined us in this adventure! We fearlessly love Young Adults and everyday set out to inspire the next generation of God’s chosen to become leaders and world changers & to step into their calling.
I used to wish that my past was different and that I didn’t have to experience those situations, but now looking back on it - I see that God had His hands on me the entire time. He may not have caused it, but He sure brought me through it! My past is proof that there is still a miracle working God in heaven - what’s your story?
