Preeti Monga, blind since childhood, (Founder & CEO of Silver Linings Trust and Silver Linings Services), Director Project Jyoti at Dr. Shroff’s Charity Eye Hospital, has been working towards empowerment of visually impaired, inclusion of disabled and prevention of blindness, directly/indirectly impacting millions since 1987! Preeti is the first blind Aerobics Instructor in India, a celebrated Motivation Speaker and a highly effective counselor! She has been bestowed with numerous prestigious awards, including the National Award presented to her by the President of India for her ground breaking work towards employment and self - employment of people with disabilities in 2013 and was honored with the Exceptional Achievement in Entrepreneurship Award by the Delhi Government in 2015! The ‘Red and White Bravery’ Award, the ‘Rajeev Gandhi Manna Seva’ Award and the Ashoka Fellowship are among some of her other significant achievements!

In addition, Preeti is a nominated member of the Delhi State Advisory Board on Disability, and part of the Governing Counsel of the Skill Counsel of Persons With Disabilities!

Preeti has authored two autobiographies, namely, The Other Senses published by Roli Books in 2012, and Flight without Sight published by Hay House in 2018!

Her work encompasses, educating and training visually impaired girls, supporting Employment of Disabled, corporate Trainings, POSH, facilitating Cornea donation, promoting inclusion via Project Fusion, Empowering blind women via Project Dignity & Trauma Counseling!

She has been widely covered by both print and electronic media! Preeti was thrown out of Loreto Convent School Delhi at 13; and her formal qualification is only High School from NOSE!

Some of the companies she has worked for are: Dr. Shroff’s Charity Eye Hospital, Katha, and The National Association for the Blind, P.P. Systems Pvt. Ltd. And Shushav Agriculture Farms Pvt .Ltd. She has worked in the capacity of business development Manager, Marketing Manager, Public Relations Head, Head Patient Relations, Trainer, Fund Raiser and Counselor.
