Graduating as an audio engineer and multimedia designer, Peter Wong initially started his career in 2001 as a music director/producer. Four years later, he established Nexus Creative, a multimedia agency. Here, he freely experimented with bold ideas, developing his skills in visual and aural design – eventually earning him several international design awards.

Over the years, he continued to amass various additional skills, making him known for his versatility in the industry. From photography and video editing, to sound design and art direction, Peter has also written and scored music for movies; released two music albums; and produced music for Discovery, Crime Investigation Channel, ASTRO, Tourism Malaysia and more.

In 2010, Peter ventured into filmmaking, debuting as a feature director (THE SPIRAL) in 2016 and was selected for competition at the International Horror & Sci-Fi Film Festival and also premiered in Berlin Sci-Fi Film Festival in 2019. His latest directorial work, ACE GROUP INSPIRATIONAL SHORT SERIES, coveted the World Media Festivals' Grand Winner 2021 under the category Webvideos. He was also the editor, colorist, composer and sound designer/engineer.

In 2017, he joined ACE Pictures primarily as a producer-financier. His role is to analyse, select, and then recommend screenplays pitched to him to be funded by the ACE Group. During his time here in ACE, Peter earned his first p.g.a mark in the US for the movie MEASURE OF REVENGE, starring Academy Award winner Melissa Leo and Bella Thorne. 

Working closely with producers and filmmakers around the world, Peter ensures that he and his team take proactive roles in shaping each project to perfection. Within two years since ACE Pictures ventured into the US, it has produced 9 movies and achieved numerous awards and recognition, having three films selected to premiere at Sundance Film Festival 2019 and 2020 (winning the Grand Jury Prize in 2019 for CLEMENCY, which also received three nominations in Film Independent Spirit Awards 2020 and BAFTA 2021 for Best Actress), two films in SXSW 2019 and 2020 and one film in TIFF 2019. Altogether these films were also selected into numerous film festivals from all around the world, notably SITGES, BIFAN, BFI and many more, winning few awards along the way for best film, director and editing.
