Bio

Angel S. Stanley is a registered nurse with 24 years of experience; who specializes in complex trauma and the stress response. She is a nurse educator and nursing theorist of the Holistic Care Theory. She serves her community as an advocate for mental health, Autism, HIV/AIDS education and community wellness. Angel is board certified nurse practitioner in psychiatry; Certified Complex Trauma Specialist; Certified Mental Health Integrative Medicine Provider; Complementary and Alternative Energy Healer; And Addiction Specialist. Areas of research: Complex and Intergenerational Trauma; Trauma and Behavior Development over the Life Span; Neuro-Psychiatry and Epigenetics; Psycho-Social Impact of HIV/AIDS in African American Women; HPA axis and the stress response on psychological and physiological wellness. Angel’s current mission is child and adolescent mental health screening, early intervention, access to treatment, and awareness of mental health disparities in the African American Community. Angel is a co-creator of CNY Community Healers, Astrologist and Tarot Reader.
