Bio

Paul Bilokon is CEO and Founder of Thalesians Ltd and Visiting Professor at Imperial College London. He has served as Director and Head of global credit and core e-trading quants at Deutsche Bank, having also worked at Morgan Stanley, Lehman Brothers, Nomura, Citigroup, and BNP Paribas. During his tenure at Citigroup he pioneered electronic trading in credit with Rob Smith and William Osborn.

He has graduated from Christ Church, University of Oxford, with a distinction and Best Overall Performance prize, and twice from Imperial College London. As part of his PhD under the supervision of Abbas Edalat he co-authored a prestigious LICS paper.

Paul lectures on scientific computing in C++ and machine learning at Imperial College London to MSc Mathematics and Finance students.

He has co-authored Machine Learning and Big Data with kdb+/q (Wiley) and Machine Learning in Finance: From Theory to Practice (Springer). He consults and lectures at leading financial institutions and is a frequent invited speaker at premier conferences worldwide.
