Weβre thrilled that you have found us here on Clubhouse. We offer incredible daily and weekly rooms on a variety of subjects led by brilliant people.
This room - Public Speaking in English - is a free space for you to practise and enhance your speaking skills in English with moderators and speakers from all over the world.
The purpose of this room is to help you lose the fear of speaking in front of an audience whilst helping you gain confidence when conversing and communicating with people from other cultures, backgrounds and with different points of views.
ππΌπ π±πΌπ²π πΆπ ππΌπΏπΈ?
β³οΈπ£π§π₯ (π£ππΉπΉ ππΌ π₯π²π³πΏπ²ππ΅) π’πΏπ±π²πΏ: When the room is led by a moderator in PTR order, wait till the moderator calls your name and asks you to introduce yourself within 30 sec. Practising self-introduction is a great exercise that will benefit you in all areas of lifeβpersonal and professional. Then youβll have 3 minutes to speak and another 30 sec to conclude your conversation.
So in total youβll have π―π¬ ππ²π° + π― πΊπΆπ» + π―π¬ ππ²π° = π° πΊπΆπ»πππ²π to speak and practise with another moderator or speaker about a topic of your choosing, just be mindful of sensitive topics, such as personal information, religion, politics, etcβ¦
After that youβll be moved to the audience to re-join the queue. In our room you can speak as many times as you want, weβre always open and nobody will ever judge you.
β³οΈπ£π’π£ππ’π₯π‘ π¦πππΉπ²: When the stage is with a fewer speakers and moderators, you can participate and join the conversation by blinking/flashing your microphone. That will indicate to others that you have something to say.
