We’re thrilled that you have found us here on Clubhouse. We offer incredible daily and weekly rooms on a variety of subjects led by brilliant people.

This room - Public Speaking in English - is a free space for you to practise and enhance your speaking skills in English with moderators and speakers from all over the world.

The purpose of this room is to help you lose the fear of speaking in front of an audience whilst helping you gain confidence when conversing and communicating with people from other cultures, backgrounds and with different points of views.

𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝘁 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸?

✳️𝗣𝗧𝗥 (𝗣𝘂𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗼 𝗥𝗲𝗳𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗵) 𝗢𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗿: When the room is led by a moderator in PTR order, wait till the moderator calls your name and asks you to introduce yourself within 30 sec. Practising self-introduction is a great exercise that will benefit you in all areas of life—personal and professional. Then you’ll have 3 minutes to speak and another 30 sec to conclude your conversation.

So in total you’ll have 𝟯𝟬 𝘀𝗲𝗰 + 𝟯 𝗺𝗶𝗻 + 𝟯𝟬 𝘀𝗲𝗰 = 𝟰 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝘂𝘁𝗲𝘀 to speak and practise with another moderator or speaker about a topic of your choosing, just be mindful of sensitive topics, such as personal information, religion, politics, etc…

After that you’ll be moved to the audience to re-join the queue. In our room you can speak as many times as you want, we’re always open and nobody will ever judge you.

✳️𝗣𝗢𝗣𝗖𝗢𝗥𝗡 𝗦𝘁𝘆𝗹𝗲: When the stage is with a fewer speakers and moderators, you can participate and join the conversation by blinking/flashing your microphone. That will indicate to others that you have something to say.
