Bio

I am a wander looking for the Divine or the Beloved in this world. It began as a growing up as a Third Culture Kid, meaning I grew up outside my passport country. I am a US citizen but lived in five Asian countries before I ever lived in the US. Born in Iran, lived in Nepal, Thailand, Laos, and Afghanistan. Was the second to the last graduating class of the American International School of Kabul, 78’.
Moved to Oregon and graduated from college at Pacific University in Forest Grove, class of 84’, Then to graduate school on the East Coast, at Andover Newton Theological School, in Newton, MA, class of 90’.
I am ordained in the United Church of Christ, and have worked in churches for over thirty years. My theology is that of love not conversion. I have no need of anyone believing as I believe. I will listen and all I ask is to be listened too in return. I work to love all I meet.
I have lived in seven difernt states and been to all fifty.
I love to scuba dive, blowing bubbles fifty feet down is my Zen place.
Stories are how I learn as I am trying to move beyond my single story of privilege. I love to hear people’s stories and connect to them in my life. Truth be told I like to tell stories too.
Have an amzing family that sustains my life every day. Do not know what I would do with out them.
Wandering on this planet in places and with people is the work of the divine. I like to call myself the Divine wander, wandering through life being amazed and blessed by the goodness that is all around.
