Jeremiah Quarshie is an artist, art gallery director, designer, travel enthusiast, art researcher, history enthusiast and music lover who currently lives in Germany. His love for travel helped him develop a personality that is all rounded, having adequate knowledge in many fields of study and walks of life.

As an artist, his paintings explore the boundaries between physical and digital production; considering the construction of imagery, his work investigates the nature of art itself. Through detailed portraiture, emphasising the connectedness between people otherwise divided by social, economic or geographical conditions, Quarshie reveals an acute social awareness. Using people who he has strong personal relationships with as well as everyday women he scouts for as models, Quarshie documents individuals in actual and invented roles - including beauty queens, businesswomen, and labourers - to demonstrate ideas of hope in personal and imagined situations and against failing systems while often making reference to historical events, ideas and personalities.
