Hi! I’m an Iranian-Indonesian artist based in Los Angeles. I was born in San Diego and raised on the Navy island of Coronado, and began photographing in 2015 to supplement my poetry to explain problems and questions I had with my environment growing up Middle Eastern post-9/11 in a Navy town. As a recovering alcoholic I have honed my hypersensitivity to the world and filtered my experience through photography, painting, and poetry.
My works have appeared in The New York Times, Christie's Magazine, Unemployed Magazine, No Tokens Journal, Potluck Magazine, and the Gallatin Review.
