Bio
Born on 2 Turntables 🎧 and a Spray can, Swell is an Artistpreneur®/DJ/Songwriter/Producer/Sound Designer/Graffiti War Veteran. He has been documenting urban music culture since 2003, when he founded ONE STOP BEATS and BEAT TALK.
He later co-founded 🎹 STUDIO BUMS® (www.studiobums.com)—which started as a self-titled web comic strip that was developed with ASCAP Award winner, producer/songwriter Def Jef. Since then, the STUDIO BUMS® platform has evolved into a lifestyle brand for music creatives and includes a web series titled “UNDER THE HOOD” (www.underthehood.XX), hosted by Grammy-nominated songwriter, producer Ivan “Orthodox” Barias, as well as the “Juke Joint Hour” (www.thejukejointhour.com) radio show, hosted by Swell & Artemis.
His work is not limited to music, but extends to all facets of the creative industry, including being co-founder of a photography venture called "Artemis Photography" 📸 (www.artemis.photography).
Swell has produced music and soundscapes for independent / commercial artists worldwide.
