- grew up in Antalya on the turkish Mediterranean coast.
- studied at the Middle East Technical University - METU, one of the best international schools at the turkish capital Ankara. The language of instruction at METU is English. METU has 19 international joint degree programmes with European and American universities at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
- worked at key positions at Daimler Corporation over 12 years in Turkey, Germany and Brazil. Daimler is the owner of global brands Mercedes-Benz, Freightliner Trucks, Western-Star Trucks, Thomas Built Buses, Sprinter, Smart & Maybach.
- worked 5 years in Germany, Neu-Ulm, Esslingen and Stuttgart.
