#Awakening: Death on the streets while I'm sleep/trying to live life in a dilapidated community/as you try to cover my mouth as I scream to be free/heresy being painted as religion/oppression being colored as freedom/so sleep that I can't see them...until the day that I awake/until the day I shake away all of the false doctrine of this society/gaining proprietary of self/seeing that the knowledge of the spirit and earth is wealth/and what does a man gain once he is awake/able to see the attacks before his face/able to open gates and break chains of oppression after years of aloof obsession with only what society tells me I should be/that WE are/transcending beyond the scars/beyond the pain/the shame/of my blackness/to become light/to become awake/to become more for this earth sake/I #AWAKEN
