Bio

For more than 20 years I managed the communications needs for both corporate and non-profit organizations in a variety of industries. In 2007, I decided to just write and discovered the joys of freelancing, working one to one with my clients to provide writing, editing and strategizing for corporate communications, public relations, marketing and social media. In 2011, I began writing books (fiction and non-fiction) and now focus my energies on book editing and author mentoring while simultaneously writing my 'next' book and studying the ever-evolving publishing business so I can give the best advice. In 2016, I established OC Publishing. I work side-by-side with my authors to partner publish genres including women's fiction, mystery, historical fiction, memoir and children's books. I conduct workshops on writing fiction and creative non-fiction, developing social media strategies, and self-publishing. I also lead an annual, five-day, in-residence writing retreat. I am the author of @Home in Dubai... Getting Connected Online and on the Ground published by Summertime Publishing; 10 Steps to a Successful PR Campaign - a Do-it-Yourself Guide for Authors (self-published); my IPPY award-winning debut novel, Mental Pause that was released in March 2013; and my second novel, Deep Deceit, launched on March 8, 2015, International Women's Day (also self-published); all available on Amazon. I was an expat for 22 years and, while living in Thailand, wrote for the Wall St. Journal Expat Blog, Global Living Magazine and Expat Focus.
