Bio
Dr. Nima Bazrafshan received his first degree in dentistry in 2002. During his 6 years working as a dentist, Nima explored different fields of dentistry and found periodontics a challenging and attractive area. He received an offer for the prestigious periodontics specialist training program at the University of Melbourne in 2008 and successfully completed the D.C.D course in 2011.
Since then he has been working in private practice while maintaining his teaching role as a clinical tutor for undergraduate dental and hygiene students at the University of Melbourne and Latrobe University.
Dr Bazrafhsan has attended more than 25 international conferences and master classes in Australia, Europe, USA and Canada to learn about new developments and the latest best practices in periodontics and implant surgery.
Dr. Bazrafshan offers referral based periodontal treatments which include: non-surgical treatments, surgical treatments, periodontal plastic surgeries, guided tissue and bone regeneration, ortho-perio treatments (un-erupted tooth exposure, frenectomy), perio- restorative treatments (functional and aesthetic crown lengthening) and also all surgical aspects of dental implants.
Outside of dentistry Nima spends time with his wife and son and is a keen soccer fan.
