⭐️ In 1956, President Eisenhower started the Sister Cities International to spread peace through mutual respect and understanding.
💫 I am the first Junior Ambassador on behalf of my hometown to a town in Mexico. I have been involved with the Sister City program for 20 years and believe that personal relationships across borders doesn’t just change lives of individuals but also helps communities all over the world to thrive.
As a Sister City, we have 3 main programs that we help support:
- A student exchange program that is congressionally recognized.
- A foster home that we help support to be up to standards in Mexico to house students from birth to 12 years old.
- A paramedic program - Paramedics from our city go to our sister city in Mexico to train their paramedics to pass the United States exam to become certified.
