I am passionate about celebrating and exploring independent culture, the people and creative communities that swim upstream and thrive in the opportunity to spotlight authentic storytelling. I believe strong perspectives, interesting voices and socially powerful journalism can achieve an enormous impact.

With firm North-East UK roots, and an unrelenting passion for the cities vision for cultural and creative excellence, diversity and high standard I am self-starter entrepreneur, business builder, seed investor; Strategically focused and people oriented.

For 20 years, I have provided PR/media representation at a global level to independent and major record labels including Sony, BMG, Universal and Warner Music; represented high profile artists, and organisations of varied sizes, and managed the publicity of Grammy and award-winning musicians as well as emerging acts.

NBHD Group has grown into a group of companies that power the ideas, the people and the businesses that are re-defining popular culture with a rich creative purpose.

At the core, Neighbourhood delivers strategic communications guidance in all matters pertaining to publicity and public relations in the fields of music, culture and entertainment yet extends to cover innovation, investment, strategy and growth.

On a more local level NBHD is intellectual property holder of a number of brands including Shindig and Any.Day.Now, explored through our North East based events production company that also provides cross sector creative, cultural and place-making strategies.

Committed to developing and advocating best practice across such topics as rights, sexual harassment, diversity in music and health and safety I sit on the executive board of AFEM.

My activity is consistently dedicated to creating a thriving business and cultural environment with improvement in best practices of all aspects of our industry - artistically to legislative and commercial.
