I began my professional career when I joined the U.S. Navy Reserves as a Seabee. After my active duty training was completed, I went to Georgia and joined the Dekalb County Police Department. During my police career, I was elevated to Field Training Officer.
I also participated in undercover details in anti-drug investigation.
I have undergone active shooter response training and advanced firearms training.

I was called to active duty for the U.S. Navy Seabees in Balad, Iraq, where I earned my Seabee Warfare Combat Insignia along other joint military insignias. I was chosen to train in combat life-saving techniques and travel as support to an elite group of servicemen. I believes safety starts within the home and spreads out to other aspects of life.
