Research specialisms include interwar praxis, radical history & critical historiography, montage-collage-the aesthetics of collation, Frankfurt School - Walter Benjamin, British documentary - Humphrey Jennings, Surrealism & Dada, mimesis & representation, urban space, reflexivity, the archive & curatorial activism.
Other passions include DIY cultures & the noise which emerges from it - punk, post-punk, pre-punk, doom, sludge, desert, experimental, soundscapes & rap. Anti-capitalist politics, direct action, anarcho-leaning revolutionary socialism & the S.I. Travel, loitering, m8s, independent cinema, literature, lifting weights & eating plants.
