A writer, child-rights activist and award-winning actor, Nandana Sen has six children’s books (translated into more than fifteen languages globally), and starred in twenty international feature films. Her new book ACROBAT (her translations of the Bengali poetry of her mother Nabaneeta Dev Sen) has recently released, with acclaim. After studying literature at Harvard and filmmaking at USC, Nandana worked as a book editor, a screenwriter, a translator, an advocate for child protection, and as Princess Jasmine at Disneyland.
Nandana has represented UNICEF, the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights, and RAHI in the fight to end child abuse and human trafficking. Winner of the Last Girl Champion Award, she has served on the jury of multiple child-rights commissions, global film festivals and international literary awards, including the DSC Prize. Nandana is Artist Ambassador for Save the Children India.
