Nancy Kay Turner is an artist/ art critic/ former educator who is an accidental alchemist working with discards to make the ordinary extraordinary. As a visual artist/scavenger/bricoleur my work explores the mysterious and spiritual way found and ephemeral objects long unmoored from their original purpose still express human longing, desire and memory. I adhere to the DaDa values of play, chance and randomness while indulging my penchant for all things paper. The viewer’s own life experiences colors their perception of the fragments of text and scraps of image allowing them to construct their own story.
