Bio

Nakia P. Williams is a multi-faceted television producer from the Virgin Islands.


 With over 15 years of production experience, she has produced for hit shows including VH1's “Black Ink Crew”, Bravo’s “Real Housewives of Atlanta”, “Real Housewives of Potomac”,Branded Digital Content for the NAACP and Walmart.   Most recently, she served as a Supervising Story Producer on a Social Impact Special for PBS American Portrait.  Nakia’s experience is diverse and well-rounded with no boundaries on the types of stories she can tell.   

A graduate of North Carolina A&T State University, Nakia began her career as an intern with Viacom in New York, where she supported hit series such as MTV’s “Made” and Vh1’s “I Wanna Work for Diddy”. She rose through the ranks to become a sought-after Segment Producer and Story Producer on several lifestyle and docu-series programs. 

In 2015, Nakia launched Nakia P. Williams Inc.to create, television pilots, direct sizzle reels and campaigns with a focus on inclusion and representation. Under her own production umbrella, she is currently developing ensemble, lifestyle and cooking content for distribution on television and digital platforms.   Nakia is inspired by the people, places and world around her because everyone has a story to tell.

Telling stories is her passion and Nakia is dedicated to creating innovative, exciting content that speaks to young, diverse, forward-thinking and progressive audiences.
