Bio

🖋 Nabilah Said is a Singapore-based playwright, editor, theatre critic, producer and poet.

🎭 Her plays have been presented in Singapore and London, including ANGKAT (2019), which won Best Original Script at the 2020 Life Theatre Awards. Her play Inside Voices (2019) was presented in London’s VAULT Festival, and is published by Nick Hern Books, UK. In 2016, she founded playwright collective Main Tulis Group.

📠 A former arts correspondent with The Straits Times, she is currently the editor of digital arts publication ArtsEquator, where she writes reviews and commentaries about the arts in Singapore.

📝 Before joining media and the arts, she was a communications professional, working with the Singapore Art Museum, National Heritage Board and various creative agencies.

🗣 She is also a keen educator, public speaker and moderator.
