My name is Angela Perymon I’m a Mom, radio/podcast personality, Philadelphia based commercial/print model with JOY Talent agency.
I’m blessed to have a phenomenal radio/podcast show called Behind The Velvet Rope! This show focuses on highlighting entrepreneurs who don’t have access to the main stream media. It’s important to support businesses in your community.

I started in the fashion industry as a MUA and transitioned into a commercial/print agency model. I’ve been on this journey for the last 27yrs! I love that I started out a make up artist working behind the scenes and now I’m on TV. My longest commercial client to date has been QVC I’ve been there for 5 years. I’ve learned how to take my passion for fashion and beauty and turn that into revenue. As an independent contractor you must have multiple streams of income. Since signing to multiple agencies I have been blessed to work with phenomenal companies such as Forman Mills, Blue Cross & Blue Shield, Philadelphia International Airport, CVS and to name a few.
Working with these multi-million dollar companies has taught me to how to build and keep these relationships for repeat business. The one thing I would stress to models in the industry is if you feel like you don’t fit the trend, don’t fight to fit in!
STAND OUT and create your own lane, become your own trailblazer and sell your personality!
The best advice I can give a new model in this industry is to get a mentor who actually works(cashes a check) in the industry that you wish to work in.
