Prem Sahasranam, MD, graduated from Madras Medical College in 1999 before training in Internal Medicine at St. Barnabas Hospital. He subsequently completed his fellowship in Endocrinology and Diabetes and metabolism at Charles Drew University in Los Angeles. Dr. Sahasranam founded Central Valley Endocrinology in 2007, a well-run successful Endocrinology Practice in Central California. Understanding the diabetes health delivery in California, Dr Sahasranam launched telehealth for diabetes education, My Diabetes Tutor to provide quality education, decrease complications related to diabetes and improve outcome. My Diabetes Tutor Inc, is the first AADE accredited telehealth program in California, approved by the CMS and several health plans. The program recent published a performance report showing improved outcome measures and a survey showing 100 % patient satisfaction. The program is working directly with patients, providers, health clinics, hospital systems and health plans.
