‘Dialectic on the Survival of a Battery Doll’ is the express conversation on one woman’s breakdown and recovery following domestic abuse. It covers the impact of the narcissistic and toxic bond resulting in her diagnosis of PTSD and the actions taken to dissolve the relationship and save herself. An underlining theme is the impact of her public life, working as a civil servant, in which she experienced bullying and harassment through trying to navigate office politics, culminating in the development of anxiety and withdrawal. This work is a conversation on the strength and power of a woman who refused to give up but overcome.
