LEON BURNETTE is a native of Los Angeles who has spent over forty-five years working in the Travel, Tourism, and Entertainment Industries.
He's an author, publisher, musicologist, experimental education specialist, Certified International Tour Director, and former worldwide concert tour manager for A-list chart-topping recording artist.
As Founder of The Diversity Project in Travel and Tourism, Leon partners with the top tour operators across the country to take a hard look at how they can increase the hiring and training of diverse populations in the group travel and tourism industries.
Leon is the CEO of Civil Rights Trail Tours, a professional full-service travel planning, logistics, and private tour operator, specializing in Cultural Heritage, Black Arts and Music, and Civil Rights Movement group travel throughout the United States.
He is a strong advocate for preserving Black History and Culture and is passionate about incorporating Sustainable Tourism practices throughout the Deep South.
