Morteza Pourmohamadi on Clubhouse

Bio

I am an active industrial designer and design academic, with 10 years of experience in teaching and research, and 20 years of experience in different design projects ranging from industrial machinery, structures, smart and interactive products, and multimedia contents.

I am currently the R&D Project Manager at Design Quintessence, where I am responsible for design and development of new products and solutions across the company. As part of my role at DQ, I manage the local manufacturing facilities for design and production of custom protective cases for transit of sensitive equipment.

I received my PhD degree in Design Computing and Cognition from The University of Sydney in 2013. I am currently a sessional lecturer at Swinburne University of Technology, Sydney campus, teaching Applied Research Project (ICT90004) unit to students of Master's degree in IT.

My professional and academic interests are design thinking, and design-lead-innovation, and the applications of computers in generative and parametric design. I enjoy teaching design and mentoring ambitious innovators and entrepreneurs to realise their ideas and start-up innovative ventures.

I'm in love with logic, nature and making.
