As a Community Health Worker, one of my goals is to be able to reach and provide education to the community about resources available to help break the cycle of poverty. I was born and raised in El Paso and have an associate degree in Culinary Arts as well as a Texas State certification in Mental Health Peer Support Specialist and Community Health Worker. I consider it a great honor to be able to walk alongside communities as we work to transform their lives and I hope to one day start my own nonprofit. I have volunteered for prison ministry and facilitated in surrounding institutions of Austin for over 10 years.
