Bio

I’m a veteran travel journalist and editor and the winner of a Lowell Thomas Gold Award for excellence in travel writing. I started my career as an editor at both Frommer's and Fodor's travel guides creating books that circled the globe from Africa to Walt Disney World.
I also served as Editor at Large for Bonnier's Digital Travel Group writing for Saveur, Islands, and Caribbean Travel & Life and was a media spokesperson for both Fodor's and Travelocity.

As a freelancer, I find the best spots to take kids on adventures (using my own teen son for guidance) for Family Traveller, Parents, and Working Mother magazines. I also scout and write about top locations for destination weddings and honeymoons for Martha Stewart Weddings, Brides, and Destination I Do in addition to reporting on travel trends around the planet for Luxury Travel Advisor, Reader's Digest, Travel Awaits,Trivago Magazine, and of course Business Insider.


A New Jersey native, ice cream addict, and lifelong Bruce Springsteen fan, I live in Montclair, New Jersey, with my husband, son, and rescue dog.
