My journey in education started formally when I became a faculty member at an arts & design university. I was shocked that even though it is a niche school focused in creative careers, students were generally not motivated, driven or fully engaged. I wanted for them to feel the spark I experienced when I studied my Master’s abroad and had amazing mentors.

When pregnant with my first child, I was really inspired by Logan Laplante's TED Talk about homeschooling. I knew I wanted these experiences for my son (and later for my daughter, too). How could I give them an environment where they could thrive, be independent, curious, self-driven, motivated, stimulated, engaged? That's why I started Acton in my hometown, to enable enriching experiences for my children and yours, too.

I'm a lifelong learner with a deep love for the arts and creative fields. An entrepreneur since the age of 8, I'm a people person with a multidisciplinary background.

I love to talk about the future of education, Montessori, parenting, being a momster, mompreneur & edupreneur, art, film, music, creativity, design, entrepreneurship & the Hero's Journey.
