After graduating from the University of Tokyo, Faculty of Law, started business career at a Japanese investment bank (IBJ). Acquired financial analysis, capital markets, corporate finance skills, etc.
Acquired international corporate legal skills through law school (Harvard Law School), law firm (Morrison & Foerster) and actual business experience. - Professional Attorney at Law - State of New York (since 1991)
During latter career at IBJ, was a major member of the the bank's overall corporate strategy as well.
Continued career as an investment banker (Merrill Lynch, PWC Advisory, etc.), mainly focusing on advising & managing cross-border M&A/strategic alliance projects & corporate restructuring/turnaround projects.
Moved to the global business executive management role (CEO of Hydranautics / SVP of Nitto Denko, Nidec / CEO of Japan Display etc.), utilizing the above skill sets (financial, legal, managerial, bilingual, cross-cultural, cross-border, project management, etc.) and Japan/US living & working experience.
Through university and business experience, maintains strong ties with various Japanese business, government & political leaders.
