Catherine Haley Epstein is an artist, award-winning author, designer and curator. Her book Nose Dive published in the Fall of 2019, is a Perfumed Plume finalist for book of the year. The book has been deemed a must read by indie veteran perfumers, and industry experts alike. She was a panelist on the topic of Scent and Design for the inaugural Digital Scent Week in 2020. In 2019 she was invited to speak on a panel about artistic perfumery in the United States at the Esxcence conference in Milan, Italy. She co-founded the Odorbet, a growing vocabulary for your nose, and was invited to do a workshop for Portland Design Week 2020.

She has done educational programming around scent and creative thinking at the Portland Art Museum, Public Annex and NIAD, who serve artists with disabilities. In 2016 she exhibited her experimental fragrance project at the inaugural AIX Scent Fair at the Hammer Museum in Los Angeles. She is the recipient of the Perfumed Plume Award in Fragrance Journalism, for her writing on the use of scent as an art medium, and a finalist in 2018. She conducts workshops on the use of scent in creative practices, and advises companies on scent-related projects.
