Artist and Co-Founder of Maple St. Construct

Maple St. Construct is a space for making stuff.​ We are a nonprofit organization and a bridge between Los Angeles and the Midwest. We are a community of diverse artists, architects, and a grassroots movement. We are a storefront in Benson, a studio in Little Italy, and a voice in Los Angeles. We are a happening of dancers and musicians. We are a book, a catalog, a website, and poetry. We are the underdog and the underestimated. We are the flyover state and the back alley of San Pedro and 9th. We are the discarded box from a Benson alley dumpster and the abandoned shopping cart at Crenshaw and Jefferson. We are the farmer and his backhoe lifting a slab of concrete. We are the truck driver on Interstate 80. We are the flag placed above the silos in Ames and the resin stuck to the floor of an empty Standard Oil Building. We are the old man with a bad back and missing teeth living in a trailer. We are strong when uncomfortable and confident when vulnerable. We are the construct of our artists.
