Mickii Overload is one such artist that epitomises the essence of the modern era. A multi-talented Dancehall vocalist dancehall choreographer and actor born and raised in Jamaica. Mickii Overload is making music that is thoughtful, conscious and driven by a desire to motivate, inspire, comfort and spread love and joy to all those that hear it.
Born Mickell, the 22-year-old is also a lover of football and migrated to the Big Apple in 2017 and has transitioned into recording his own music. This period of evolution has led to the growth of Mickii Overload’s creativity and undeniable talent. He has ultimately developed a style of songwriting that is transparent, daring and full of hope and reflective of his experiences, thought and ambitions, turning his pain into purpose and lessons into studio sessions.
Mickii Overload has had a vast array of musical influences however he accredits the pivotal influence in his music to Seani B a Dj from BBC 1Xtra. This all culminates in Mickii Overload producing a musical experience that is enjoyable, easy going and fun but still seeks to provoke thought and Mickii Overload uses his music as a vehicle to express his perspectives and tell stories. His overarching ambition is to motivate younger artist like himself to go after their dreams and put their all in it.
Mickii Overload he will be releasing his debut single “Press Press” soon that will showcase his lyricism in a uniquely constructed piece of musical artistry.
